Welcome to Yealand Quakers

We have regular Meetings for Worship each Sunday and Wednesday plus monthly on a Thursday evening from February 2020. All are welcome. The Diary page of this website has details of other activities and events.

Meeting for Worship

Yealand Friends Meeting House, 18 Yealand Road, Yealand Conyers, Carnforth, LA5 9SH

Sunday, 10:30am – 11:30am

Fourth Thursday (from February 27th 2020) 7.30-8.00pm                                                                                                                                         

Meetings are followed by refreshments and fellowship

Accessibility

The Meeting House has wheelchair access, and an accessible toilet. There is a designated parking space close to the Meeting House. There is a hearing loop system in the meeting house.                                                                                                                          

 

Self-Catering Accommodation

There is comfortable self catering accommodation on site in Yealand Old School with 4 bedrooms, 3 en suite, with additional bunkhouse accommodation for groups. It is ideally located for people wishing to visit the area with its wealth of early Quaker history and peaceful, rural location. Groups bookings welcome.

Directions and Map

General:– The village of Yealand Conyers lies about a mile to the west of the A6, about 3 miles to the north of Carnforth. 

By Car:– From Junction 35 of the M6, head north following signs for Milnthorpe. After about a mile turn left following the sign for Yealand Conyers. Turn left at the T–junction in the village. The meeting House is about 200 yards up the hill and on the left. There is on–street parking  and a small car park adjacent (not signed)

By Bus:–  The 51 service from Carnforth or Silverdale stops outside the Meeting House (no Sunday service)  

By Train:– Carnforth Railway Station is about 3 miles to the south. Silverdale Station, about two miles to the west, is a pleasant walk away via Leighton Moss.
